Pat (Vere) Fishell age 89, died peacefully surrounded by family at the same location he was born at on Senator Road in Fenwick on Sunday, June 12, 2016.

Born on Mother’s day, May 8, 1927, Pat was the son Lloyd & Neva (Emery) Fishell and they precede him in death as well as his in-laws, Jim & Ruth (Fuller) Chipman, Eleanor Chipman; son, Thomas H Fishell; grandson, Luke Peiffer; sister, Vivian Norris; brother, Howard Fishell; nephews, Keith Chipman and Arden Lake and niece Darlene Eaves.

Pat is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margie (Chipman) Fishell; daughters, Patti (Mike) Peiffer of Carson City, Beverly (Steve) Wall of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Layth (Irina) Peiffer of Holt, Mat (Ashley) Peiffer of Carlton, Amy Wall of Grand Rapids, Diana Wall of Chicago; sister, Margaret Fitzgerald of Palo; brother, Frank (Ipha) Fishell of Texas; brother and sister in-laws, Jim & Carolyn Chipman of Paris, Michigan, Jack & Carol Chipman of Saranac, Lawrence & Barb Chipman of Palo and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was known for his ability to farm, for his quiet demeanor and his dry wit. He loved hunting, target shooting and playing cards. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army and was a lifetime member of the Masons.

Visitation with Pat’s family is being held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Funeral services for Pat will start at 10 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Graveside services will take place at the Palo Cemetery.

For those who wish to make a memorial donation in Pat’s memory the family suggests donations be directed to the Meijer Heart Center and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
