Obituary for Jan Kay Brugh

Jan Kay  Brugh
Janice K. Brugh, age 77 passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, surrounded by her family at her cottage in Sandy Pines resort.

She was born the daughter of Lawrence & Neva (Smith) Brugh in Grand Rapids and both of them have preceded her in death.

Jan was a long time teacher at Central Montcalm, a member of Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids, a member of the Montcalm County chapter of Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel and a long time member/owner of Sandy Pines in Hopkins, Michigan.

Jan is survived by her sister, Judy Blain of Kalamazoo; two nieces, Lori (Craig) Farrer of Kalamazoo, Pamela (Ron) Richter of Kalamazoo; nephew Travis (Lissa) Dean-McKinney of Charlottesville, Virginia; four great nieces; two great nephews and her dog Casper, one of her beloved Boston Terriers.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 beginning at 10 AM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan. Jan will be laid to rest in Rosedale Cemetery in Grand Rapids.

For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Jan’s memory the family suggests they be made to either the Best Friends Animal Society or Breast Cancer Research Foundation and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
