Robert W  Burns
Robert W. Burns, age 55 of Stanton passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Laurels of Carson City surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born the son of Robert M. & JoDean L. (Rowe) Burns on May 31, 1961 in Sheridan.

Rob is preceded in death by his mother and grandparents, Joseph & Lillian Rowe and Robert J. & Leona E. Burns.

Surviving Rob is his wife, Barb Burns; his father Robert M. Burns and his wife Michelle of Stanton; brothers-in-law, Gerald Clark Jr. of Crystal, David Clark of Sidney and many, many wonderful friends.

Rob loved racing cars which he did for many years at the local tracks in the area. In 1993 Rob won the MSPA Pro-Stock Statewide Championship. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with friends and family. Rob worked at Frigidaire for 20+ years and then drove bus for the Montcalm County ISD for 14 years. Rob was a very lucky guy and enjoyed testing his luck out on the slot machines at various casinos. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation with Rob’s family will be on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 23, 2016 beginning at 11 AM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Graveside services will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Stanton.

For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Rob’s memory the family has suggested donations be directed to the American Cancer Society and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
