Roger D  Dukes
Roger Duane Dukes, age 65 of Centraila, Washington, formerly of Carson City passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 1, 2016.

He was born the son of Lewis & Doris (Heilman) Dukes on July 4, 1951 and they along with a brother, John Dukes and a nephew, Melvin Alexander have preceded him in death.

Roger is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Doug) Tasker of Riverdale, Marie (John) Brown of Ionia, Cheryl (Mateo) Fuentes of Ionia, Buffy Ostrander of Lansing, Eve Cusack of Carson City; sons, Chris (Tina) Dukes of Potterville, Travis (Samantha) Dukes of Sheridan, Richard (Julie) Brokaw of Sheridan, Bill Hopkins of Sheridan; twenty one grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Mildred & George Shard of Washington; brothers, Wesley Dukes of Washington, George Dukes of Washington and the love of his life, Mary Dukes of Carson City.

Roger wasn't one too venture to far away from home, but he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a big practical jokester and liked playing card games, especially cribbage. In his younger days, Roger loved riding his motorcycle and would take his grandkids for rides. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Roger's family will be celebrating his life on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan and you are free to come and go as your schedule allows.

For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Roger’s memory you are asked to keep the need of the family in mind as they deal with his sudden passing. There will be donation envelopes available at the funeral home.
