Marjorie E. Springer, age 90 of Carson City passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Laurels of Carson City.

She was born the daughter of Glenn & Marian (Baldwin) Canfield in Lansing on March 4, 1926 and they along with her husband Richard; two brothers, Dallas Canfield and Glenn Canfield; sister, M. Nadine Mock; sister-in-law, Audrey Canfield and brother-in-law, Keith Mock have preceded her in death.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Arbutus (Robert) Whitacre of Carson City; sons, Bill II (Patricia) Springer of Connell, Washington, Robert (Rebecca) Springer of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Michele (Shane) Forist, Richard (Michelle) Whitacre, Jasmine Springer, Jon (Valorie) Springer, Nick Springer, Ashley Springer, Alex Springer; great grandchildren, Tiana Joy Whitacre, Emalee Forist, Aiden Springer, Jacob Springer, Lexie Brayton, Lacey Brayton; six great-great grandchildren; sister, Cora Lee (Dar) Hart of Haslett; sister-in-law, Rosie Canfield of Haslett and special niece, Casey Sherman of Eagle.

Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She had a great sense of humor, was an avid reader and a crossword puzzle enthusiast. She also enjoyed crocheting and was an accomplished artist, with portraits of Native American Indians being her favorite theme. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In keeping with Marjorie’s wishes there will be no formal funeral services held.

For those wanting to make a memorial donation in her memory the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
