Obituary for Marjorie E Decker (Jensen)

Marjorie Ella Decker, age 88 of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Cottage Grove Estates in Fenwick.

She was born the daughter of Ralph & Geraldine (Whitney) Jensen on October 14, 1928 in Lakeview and they along with her husband, Kline Decker and son Jon Kline Decker have proceeded her in death.

Marge is survived by her daughter, Linda (Charles) Gilbert of Berkley; son, Terry Decker of Sheridan; brother, Ronald Jensen of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughters, Tracey Devlin of Sheridan, Jacqueline (Dan) Terbrack of Berkley, Katherine Gilbert of Nashville, Tennessee; grandsons, Daniel Decker of Grand Rapids, Travis Devlin of Sheridan; great grandchildren, Jaden Devlin, Addison Terbrack, Emma Terbrack, Isabel Terbrack, TJ Devlin and Lincoln Devlin.

Marge worked at Sheridan Hospital, Hansen’s Drug Store and Holland Lake Golf Course and is a life member of the Lester J. Sitts VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary.

Marge’s family will be celebrating her life on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 1 to 4 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Homes in Sheridan. During this time, you are free to come and go as your schedule allows and a light lunch will be available at the funeral home. Marge will be laid to rest with her husband at Evergreen Cemetery.

For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Marge’s memory the family suggests donations be made to either the Sheridan Community Hospital Volunteers or the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
