Obituary for Eric Archie Armstrong

Eric “Archie” Armstrong, age 39, who has lived in Stanton, Michigan for the past two years with his loving wife Tammy, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February, 27, 2017 in Wind Lake, Wisconsin.

Eric, who was known by his friends as Archie, loved being outdoors; especially bow hunting, fishing and being in nature. However, his love of the outdoors paled in comparison to the love he had for his family. Eric was a very giving person who would help you out if you needed it. He could make you laugh with his sense of humor, sharp wit and his contagious smile would always brighten up the room. He had a deep respect for his elders and was always a gentleman. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his Grandpa “Doc”, Grandma Shirley, Nana Ruth; two uncles, Scott Wiseman and Ray Large; step brother, Chris Bub.

Surviving Eric is his loving wife Tammy (Cole) of Stanton; mother, Leslie (Stephen) Pallek of Wind Lake, Wisconsin; father, Pete (Carol) Armstrong of Racine, Wisconsin; father-in-law, David (Jan) Cole of Gagetown; grandparents, Tom & Dorothy Armstrong of Rothbury, Duane & Wanetta Plonta of Gagetown; sister Tara Borton (Jennifer Shaw) of Sheridan; sisters-in-law, Kaitlin (Micah) Black of Rochester, Minnesota, Crystal (Matthew) Gleason of Owosso; nieces, Ena Borton and Maddie Gleason; nephews, Nolen Borton and Kale Borton; many step-brothers, step-sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will be greeting family and friends from 10 – 11 AM on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan. Funeral services will begin at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating. Graveside services will be the Forest Hill Cemetery in Stanton.

For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Eric’s memory, you are asked to keep the needs of the family in mind as they deal with this sudden loss.
