Obituary for Mary A "Mary "Angie" Ludy" Ludy

Mary A "Mary "Angie" Ludy" Ludy
Mary “Angie” Ludy, age 72 of Guadalajara, Mexico, formerly of Entrican, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2017 surrounded in love by her family at her daughter’s house in Byron Center.

She was born in San Antonio, Texas and was the fifth of ten children born to Joseph & Mary (Campos) Gephart. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gregory Richard Ludy; five sisters; one brother and her father-in-law and mother-in-law.

Angie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dick Ludy; daughters, Jill (Andy) Hollar of Rocky Ford, Colorado, June (Dave) Klink of Byron Center; sons, Jeff (Sandra) Ludy of Spring, Texas, Joe (Kim) Ludy of Mattawan; grandchildren, Julie (Ryan) Sloan of Kansas City, Missouri, June (John) Jaramillo of Ordway, Colorado, James (Jackie) Ard of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Allie Klink of Byron Center, Elizabeth Klink of Byron Center, Samuel Klink of Byron Center, Joshua (Jessica) Ludy of Spring, Texas, Kayla Ludy of Austin, Texas, Cameron Ludy of Mattawan, Collin Ludy of Mattawan, Quentin Ludy of Mattawan, Vivian Ludy of Mattawan; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Dolores (Norbert) Grabowicki of Blanco, Texas, Mary Elizabeth Gephart Bruton of San Antonio, Texas, Mary Linda Kouns of San Antonio, Texas; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lora & Tim Kleis of Grand Rapids, David & Corrine Ludy of Seattle, Washington, Paul & Hope Ludy of Holland and the many people who looked to her as their spiritual mother, friend and counselor.

Angie and her husband Dick have spent the past 47 years helping to spread the word of God’s grace and love as Missionaries in Mexico. If you were to look up the words ‘caring’ and ‘giving’ in the dictionary, you would probably find Angie’s picture. She was always concerned for others, usually putting their needs before her own. Angie was also a very giving person and it didn’t matter what it was; time, money, advice, if she had it and you needed it, she gave it freely to you. Angie will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Visitation with Angie’s family will be on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 1 – 2 PM at the Entrican Bible Church (3899 Grow Road NW, Stanton, MI 48888).

Funeral services will begin at the church at 2 PM on Wednesday with Pastor Bruce Craner officiating. Graveside services for Angie will be at Hillside Cemetery in Entrican.

For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Angie’s memory the family suggests donations be made to Biblical Ministries Worldwide Mexico Needy Fund and envelopes will be available at the church.
