Obituary for Darlene Fisher

Darlene Fisher
Darlene Mae Fisher, age 69 of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Spectrum Health Blodgett.

She is the daughter of John & Violet (LaVoye) Haring born on October 19, 1947 in Clare, Michigan. They, along with her beloved husband of 48 years, Sidney Fisher and two brothers, Bill Haring and Johnny Haring have preceded her in death.

If you were to look up the definition of selfless in the dictionary you most likely would find a picture of Darlene. Known by many as “Ma Fisher”, Darlene was a giver. If someone was in need, Darlene was the first to give, even if it meant she had to go without. While she enjoyed playing Bingo and cooking, her greatest love was her family and friends. Darlene especially loved her grandchildren and spending time with them and she will be deeply missed by everyone.

Darlene is survived by her children, Johnny Fisher of Greenville, Robin Fisher of Belding, Chad Fisher of Greenville, Love Pirozzo of Cedar Springs; grandchildren, Emma Hockenberry, Kyle Hockenberry, Alli Fisher, Madison Fisher; sister, Stacy Haring of Indiana; brothers, Jack (Glenna) Haring of Clare, George (Marilyn) Haring of Coleman, Jimmy Haring of Harrison, D.J. (Lori) Haring of Indiana.

A celebration of Darlene’s life is being held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 1 to 5 PM at the Greenville Community Center (900 E. Kent Street, Greenville) and you are free to come and go as your schedule allows.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Metron of Greenville and donations can be sent through the funeral home.
