Ronald  Brokaw
Ronald Ray Brokaw, age 82 of Fenwick, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at his daughter’s home in Gowen, under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Hospice.

He was born the son of Harvey & Wava (Fisher) Brokaw in Fenwick on September 30, 1934 and they along with his brother Ervin Brokaw precede him in death.

Ron is survived by his wife of 57 years, Deloris “Dee”; daughters, Rhonda (Bob) Sobel of Grand Rapids, Karen (Tim) Sprague of Gowen; sons, Randy (Vanessa Wellman) Brokaw of Greenville, Rod (Debbie) Brokaw of Stanton; grandchildren, Rachelle (Ben) Isenhoff of Sheridan, Gregory Brokaw of Stanton, Luke Brokaw of Lowell, Tony Brokaw of Greenville, Derek Brokaw of Grand Rapids, Jennifer Sobel of Grand Rapids, Amy Brokaw of Marcellus; great grandchildren, Clair Isenhoff, Mark Isenhoff, Daphne Isenhoff, James Isenhoff, Tadan Brokaw, Maci Brokaw, Fin Brokaw, Drayden Brokaw, Devin Brokaw, Brenen Mockerman, Neteah Mockerman; sisters, Wanda Brokaw of Stanton, Madeline (Richard) Satterlee of Fenwick; sister-in-law, Sam Brokaw of Fenwick and many nieces and nephews.

Ron was a member of the Greenville Moose Lodge and Greenville American Legion. He is a veteran of the US Army. Ron enjoyed listening to country music at Charlies, building and crafting things from wood and in his younger days he liked to go bowling. Ron was also a big Detroit Tigers fan.

Visitation with Ron’s family is being held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Funeral services for Ron will be on Thursday, September 21, 2017 beginning at 11 AM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Reverend Dave Dickerson officiating.
