Gailen Edgerly
Gailen D. Edgerly, age 65 of Orleans passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Spectrum Health Butterworth in Grand Rapids.

He was born the son of Gaylord & Barbara (Jenks) Edgerly in Lakeview and is preceded in death by his mother.

Gailen is survived by his father, Gaylord Edgerly of Lakeview; his wife of nearly 30 years, Laura; daughters, Shawn (Terry) Haller of Stanton, Sheila (Travis) Porter of Stanton; sons, Andy Grandetti of Orleans, Grant (Jennifer) Edgerly of Greenville; sisters, Susan (Cel) Lutterloh of Morley, Karen Jones of Sparta; ten grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his best friend, Mike (Mary) Ring of Belding.

Gailen loved being outdoors, especially farming, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed collecting John Deere tractors and tinkering with his antique project cars, but most of all, Gailen loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Visitation with Gailen’s family will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Funeral services for Gailen will begin at 11 AM on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Father Dominic Tirkey officiating. Graveside services for Gailen will be held at the Evergreen Township Cemetery.

For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Gailen’s memory the family suggests donations be directed to the St. Bernadette of Lourdes church and envelopes will be available at the funeral home
