Obituary for Jase Main

Jase Main
Jase Paul Main, age 3, of Stanton began his new life in heaven on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, a life that we will enjoy together with him in the presence of our Lord.

Diagnosed with Krabbe Leukodystrophy, a rare neurological disease, Jase courageously endured many physical hardships throughout his life. He was ‘young and brave,’ a source of joy and strength to all who knew him.

Jase is survived by his parents, Kyle and Jackie Main; sister, Avery; grandparents, Jack and Kris Baney; Dale and Amy Main; great grandparents, George and Bev Creager; LJ and Donna Mae Main; Robert and Betty Lang; uncles and aunts, Kevin and Sara Baney; Kurtis and Jenny Baney; Caleb and Katelyn Clementz; many great uncles and aunts, lots of cousins and many supportive friends.

Jase was loved by many, but especially his sister, Avery. She loved to hold him and make him laugh. When Jase had difficulty enduring treatments, Avery stepped in to calm him down, comforting him when all others failed. And Jase loved his big sister, too. His eyes lit up whenever she came into view. He loved spending time with her and being held in her arms. Jase loved all children, but his love for Avery was special; he allowed her to play and interact with him in ways nobody else could.

Although young in years, Jase made a big impact on everyone who knew him. His church family loved him, his extended family rallied around him, and countless friends followed him through the Facebook page his parents maintained for him, “Jase’s Journey for Jesus.” Many of these friends Jase and his parents met during two trips out east to Hunter’s Hope Symposium, a nationwide gathering of children and families impacted by Leukodystrophy. Throughout his journey, Jase and his family have sought not only to bring awareness to Krabbe Leukodystrophy, but also to show the many evidences of God’s mercy and faithfulness in their lives.

Visitation with Jase’s family is being held on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 3 to 6 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan and on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 10 to 11 AM at Nevins Lake Bible Church.

A celebration of Jase’s life will be on Saturday, December 23, 2017 beginning at 11 AM at the Nevins Lake Bible Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made in Jase’s memory to Hunter’s Hope Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church and donations can also be made through the funeral home website.
