Sharon “Nikki” Rios, age 75 of Stanton, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 25, 2017 under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Hospice.

She was born the daughter of Raymond & Clarice (Miles) King on January 8, 1942 and was the 8th of 10 children. Nikki is preceeded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Dorothy Johnston; Coog King; Helen Johnston; Vina Hughes; Merton King; Don King; Cherie Rios; Lonnie King; grandchildren, Anthony Manley and Chloe Holmes.

Nikki is survived by her husband of 56 years, Agustin Rios of Stanton; daughters, Candy (William) Thorne of White Cloud; Deb (Jeff) Houck of Stanton; Gina (Julie) Rios of Rapid River; sons, Gus (Teresa) Rios of Sheridan; Willy Rios of Martinsville, Indiana; Kevin (Tracey) Rios of McBride; grandchildren, Dawn (Steve) Hermann of Saginaw; William Thorne II of White Cloud; Autumn Rios of Lansing; Kenneth (Lashada) Thorne of White Cloud; Matthew (Tarleda) of Indianapolis, Indiana; James (Jennifer) Thorne of Grand Rapids; Timothy (Dani) Rios of Indianapolis, Indiana; Thomas Thorne of White Cloud; Felisha Manley of Wheeling, West Virginia; Logan Rios of McBride; Blake Hollenbaugh of Rapid River; Mackenna Rios of McBride; Misti Rios of Martinsville, Indiana; many great grandchildren; brother, Gene (Katherine) King of Blanchard; longtime friend, Joan Myers and close family friend, Mercedes Guise.

Nikki loved her family and they were her everything! She loved to cook, bake and sew. Her specialty were her Puerto Rican beans & rice and her famous Chocolate Mayonnaise cake which was melt in your mouth delicious. No matter how busy she was, Nikki’s family always knew she had time to listen and care to them. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Services for Nikki will be on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with visitation being held from 2-4 PM and funeral services beginning at 4 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be directed to Great Lake Caring Home Health and Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
