Obituary for Irene Carpenter

Irene  Carpenter
Irene P. Carpenter, age 90 of Fenwick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Hospice.

She was born the daughter of Ervin & Mary (Harris) Trumble on May 11, 1927 in Banister. Irene is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Carpenter, Sr.; two brothers and three sisters.

Surviving Irene are her daughters, Nancy (Robert) Divish of Eagle, Mary (Larry) Dingman of Sheridan; son, Rev. Robert Jr. (Marilyn) Carpenter of Sheridan; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren; sister, Ivahdell Lake of Greenville; brother, Ervin Jr. (Ellen) Trumble of Muir; sister-in-law, Betty Wallace of Centreville; many nieces, nephews, and lots of friends.

Irene loved her family and enjoyed spending time and doing things with them. She was a member of the Red Hat society, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Moose Lodge and she also enjoyed exercising at the MCC Pool for many years. Irene’s family would also like to extend a special thank you to Gail & Bonnie of Spectrum Hospice for all the love and care they provided.

Visitation with Irene’s family will be on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 2 – 3:30 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Funeral services will begin at 3:30 PM on Monday, March 5th at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Final interment will be at Woodard Lake Cemetery.

For those wishing to make a memorial donation the family suggests donations be directed to either the Sheridan VFW, Commission on Aging or Spectrum Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
