Obituary for Constance "Connie" Evans

Constance "Connie"  Evans
Constance Elizabeth Evans, age 67 of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Laurels of Fulton.

She was born the daughter of Carlyle & Stella (Susdorf) Bigelow on November 1, 1950. Connie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith; daughter, Lisa Evans; brothers, Tim Bigelow and Art Susdorf and sister, Cynthia Brooks.

Connie is survived her daughter, Susie (Mark) Loew of Stanton; sons, Kirk (Tabitha) Evans of Ionia; Pete Evans of Six Lakes; stepmother, Carrie Bigelow of Crystal; sister, Kathy Hopkins of Palo; brother, Tom (Char) Bigelow of Riverdale; grandchildren, Aaron, Alisa, Wyatt, Anna, Mitcheal, Tucker and Jackson as well as many nieces and nephews.

A lifelong learner, Connie was always in search of information and new things to learn which she did through her love of reading and traveling. She was very social and loved to spend time and be around people. It wasn’t uncommon for her to drive 90 minutes one way just to visit with someone for 20 minutes. In her younger years, Connie liked to go downhill skiing, morel mushroom hunting and camping. The most important thing to her was her family, especially her grandchildren and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Visitation with Connie’s family will be on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan and on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 10-11 AM at the Evergreen Free Methodist Church in Sheridan.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 beginning at 11 AM at the Evergreen Free Methodist Church in Sheridan with Pastor Jim Vandewarker officiating. Graveside services will be at the Crystal Township Cemetery.

For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Connie’s memory the family suggests you direct them to the Evergreen Free Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
