Had the pleasure of sailing with George in 2015 at Tawas. A true gentleman and great sport. My condolences on your loss. I am happy to have spent time with him!

I enjoyed my time working at the Stable with George and doing workouts with the ski team at HHS back in the late '90s. He was kind and could always be counted on for a hearty laugh, a colorful story, or a strong opinion about Denny McLain.

George and I were best friends growing up on Gysin Court. While I will miss him I would like to share one of my favorite stories ( there are many) George had just got a Pram sailboat. It was in the garage and he and I decided to paint it. The color scheme was red hull and white interior. Fast forward we spilled both gallons of paint that were inside the sailboat. Now we had pink and decided that was what the color was ultimately to be. Along the way the garage floor also became pink. About that time Millis drove in. Those who knew Millis can guess what happened next!
The picture I posted has George in the middle with myself to his right and Jean Boyden to his left. That is our mothers in back. Many birthdays were celebrated together as George's is the 23rd and mine the 25th. Fair winds my friend.
