I am so sorry for the loss of your grandfather. He was truly a great man.
After my dad passed away. I asked him if I could still fish the pond with my grandkids ( my dad Carl fished there often & I was usually with him)
He told me yes anytime I wanted just as long as I let him or your grandmother know I was out there in case something happened.
I used to have many chats with him when I stopped by..
He truly was a great man & will be missed by many.

Uncle Bid meant so much to all of us. My mom loved him with all her heart, and I know they are together now. Uncle Bid was a man I always looked up to. He was kind and smart, and he always had time to talk to me even though he was busy. I watched him in awe whenever I was at the farm and he was there tending to things. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Condolence: Allen "Bid" was a wonderful man who cared much for the community and our town of stanton. Many years ago he took time out of his busy family farm and hauled all of the dirt in for the making of the cemetery entrance here in town. It took several loads from his farm and I appreciate him doing that and the flowers and tree we planted have always been beautiful growing in the soil he donated. Chad and I enjoyed our visits and the history that he shared with us on our visits. My husband and I have great respect and honor for Bid and know he is in a much better place now. Thinking of the entire Hardy family.
